Introduction to Plastic Extruder Screen Changer

The hydraulic screen changer is specially manufactured for extruders, which can be delivered in a short period of time and is very sturdy and durable. The integrated structure allows for quick screen changing without stopping the machine. Electric heating and thermal oil heating are optional. Almost all polymers can use hydraulic screen changer, which is applicable to PC, PMMA, PET, PS, PU, PP, PE, EVA, ABS, PVC and other polymers.

Function of Screen Changer for Plastic Extrusion

1. Filter out impurities in raw materials, improve product quality, and reduce losses caused by screen replacement; Energy conservation and consumption reduction, while increasing production and reducing labor intensity.

2. Installing a screen changer increases the back pressure of the machine head, greatly improving the plasticization and homogenization effect of raw materials. The product has a more uniform texture and better smoothness, and the pressure resistance value of the product will be increased. This is also the reason why the new raw material has no impurities and is equipped with a screen changer. The extruder seems to have an additional static mixer installed with a screen changer.

The selection principle of hydraulic screen changer

When selecting a screen changer, it is usually necessary to choose based on the nature of the recovered material and operating conditions. The specific selection principles are:

1. For low pollution, small to medium-sized production, non continuous screen changer can be selected. Mainly for single board hydraulic screen changer and single column hydraulic screen changer.

2. If the switching process is allowed to be interrupted in general or severe pollution, medium to high production situations, a non continuous screen changer can be selected. If interruption is not allowed, a continuous screen changer (dual board dual station screen changer, dual column dual station screen changer, dual column four station screen changer) must be selected.
