BATTE melt pump will introduce you to the melt flow rate volume method.
Melt volume flow rate refers to the volume of molten plastic passing through a standard die under a certain load and piston action at a fixed position at a fixed temperature. The result is converted into the volume of plastic extruded every 10 minutes, in cm ³/ 10 minutes.

When using a melt index meter to test the melt flow rate, the volume method (MVR) can be used for testing. The main method for testing the melt flow rate using the volume method is to measure the volume of the melt flowing through the die per unit time. There are two testing methods:
1. Measure the distance the piston moves within the specified time. Start timing after the piston enters the range of the ring marking, record the movement range of the piston after the timing time, and then calculate the melt volume flow rate.

2. Measure the time taken for the piston to move a specified distance. Set a moving distance within the range of the ring marking of the piston rod, and measure the time it takes for the piston rod to move this distance.
These two methods ultimately need to be converted into the volume of melt flow per unit time.
