Because in the extrusion process, it is difficult to avoid phenomena such as uneven material feeding, different mixing ratios of recycled materials, fluctuations in barrel and head temperatures, and fluctuations in screw speed. Installing a gear pump can significantly reduce upstream fluctuations and play a stabilizing role. This is because: ① the clearance of the melt gear pump is very small, the flow resistance of the material in the clearance is large, the leakage flow rate is small, and the fluctuation of the leakage flow rate caused by pressure difference changes has little impact on the pumping volume; ② The fluctuation of melt pressure is related to its own frequency of change. If there is not enough time to change from one state to another after the inlet pressure fluctuates, the fluctuation generated during meshing will not directly affect the outlet pressure fluctuation.
