The high-temperature melt pump transports high-temperature and high viscosity polymer melt. Therefore, it is required that the pump has high temperature resistance characteristics, that is, each part of the pump should have sufficient strength and stiffness at working temperature, parts subjected to alternating loads should have high fatigue strength, and wear-resistant parts should maintain high hardness and wear resistance.
Secondly, the polymer melt pump is assembled at room temperature. To ensure that the pump can operate normally at high temperatures, it is required that the deformation of the pump should be small at operating temperature, and the linear expansion coefficients of various matching parts (such as gear shafts, pump shells, and bearings) should not differ too much. If the difference in linear expansion coefficients between different mating parts is too large, it will cause changes in the axial clearance of the gear pump. If the gap is too large, the effect in terms of volume will deteriorate; If the gap is too small, the pump body will get stuck.
The material of the high-temperature melt pump is stainless steel/alloy steel/corrosion-resistant alloy, etc. The pump body is made of materials such as stainless steel/tool steel/stainless steel+coating/corrosion-resistant alloy, etc. The gears are made of materials such as nitrogen steel/tool steel/stainless steel+coating/corrosion-resistant alloy, and the bearings are made of materials such as tool steel/copper alloy/stainless steel+coating/corrosion-resistant alloy. According to the different conveying materials and working conditions, the corresponding materials are selected for the gears, pump body, and bearings to ensure the long-term and efficient operation of the melt gear pump.
